Chilly Weather Calls for Warmer Tones

Nov 30 2011

Although winter doesn’t officially begin till December 22nd, the weather certainly says otherwise. Fall and Winter seasons bring about quality time with loved ones, sitting by the fireplace, and taking in all the wonderful things snowy weather has to bring. There’s one thing we sometimes forget! Our hair takes a major toll during the colder seasons, battling dryness and frizz along with washed out highlights from summer.
A simple trick to brighten the holidays along with your complexion, is to choose a warmer tone for your next hair color choice.
The beautiful Amy Adams has a fair skin tone along with a slightly pink undertone which complements warmer red-ginger shades. It gives her complexion an instant, natural and youthful glow.

Diva Beyonce is known for her sultry golden shiny locks all year round. For a olive/medium complexion, a light golden hazelnut brown with subtle caramel undertone lifts and brightens the skin tone for a more radiant glow.

A similar color and style to Beyonce’s would be Lace Front Sofia by Sepia in color P4/27/30 – Medium Dark Brown with chunky highlights of Strawberry Blonde and Light Auburn.

Hollywood’s sweetheart, Drew Barrymore rocks the current trend of Ombre shading-darker roots gradually lightening at the tips-two tone with a twist! With her skin color being a light and having a neutral undertone, both dark and light tones beautifully compliment her. The darker roots bring out her deep set eyes and the lighter features create a glow around her face.
